Ftp Instruction
- There are two ways you can move files between Maccintosh and fladda:
- Use the FETCH software
- From the Macintosh select Chooser, AppleShare and the
Ethernet zone. Then choose fladda from the Select a file server box. Type your fladda login name and password and click okay. Your fladda is now mounted.
- Transfer files between PC and fladda:
- You can use SSH Secure File Transfer Client or download it from the
software
SSHWinClient3.1.0-build235.exe.
- There is another way to transfer files without downloading the SSH Secure File Transfer Client. From PC choose Start and select run. Type cmd in the Run box. Like in unix system, use cd to go to the location of files on PC. Then, type ftp fladda.wi.mit.edu . It will ask your fladda login name and password. If you want to transfer files from PC to fladda, use put filename . If you want to transfer files from fladda to PC, use get filename. After you finish transferring files, type bye to leave ftp.
